Yeti false floor removal

Featured Replies

How easy is it to remove the false floor in the rear of the Yeti?

To explain: If I were to order a Yeti with a spare wheel there are some floor parts that make up the compartment for the spare wheel. Most of the time I would have sufficient space in the back with the spare wheel in place. But just occasionally I might want the extra height/space from removing the spare and associated floor bits. Really I'm just wondering if this is easy/difficult/impossible to achieve?

Would think it's possible but time consuming as Skoda have not built that consideration into the design. :(

If you look at the handbook page 94 you will see that only one of the three boxes that surround the spare is designed to be removed (to allow access to the tool kit below), the others are I believe clipped into position.

You would also need to remove the securing column for the spare from it's bracket which is welded to the boot floor.

Thanks for the confirmation. I agree - does seem a bit of a shame. If you like the confidence of having a spare wheel with you then it seems that there's no way of getting a good flat load space in the back.

I think you will still get a flat load floor but with seats in place and backs folded down.

Less space but better for loading /unloading as there's almost no sill drop, so there is some benefits.

Obviously the variable floor option gives you the best of both but with only a tyre repair kit to rely on.
