Featured Replies

hi folks, how can i find out my skc code in my pickup? i have the immo id number like it says in the vag-com instructions but up at the skoda dealer the bloke looked at me like i was talking a strange lanuage:O

is there a way you can decode the number from the id number? i'm sure i've read somewhere that it is possible?

You can decode the 4-digit SKC from a 7-digit SKC but not from the Immo ID. There was a time you could ask a friendly dealer for it, but the new VAG system does not reveal the SKC to the mechanic.

You can use VagTacho to extract the 4-digit SKC from the cluster.

it doesn't have an 'intelligent' cluster in a felicia/pickup.. all it has is the ecu and a seperate immo box.

where can i get vagtacho from? does it use the same vag-com cable?

Have a look on the member list at the top of this forum. There may be someone near you with VagTacho that will do it for beer tokens

If you need it to program a spare key, I had a key cut a local key cutting place for a Felicia, they cut it from the key which I gave them and they put it in their machine and copied the transponder data over to it. It came to less than the price which Skoda would charge for the key alone.

yeah that's kind of it, i've got 3 keys, 1 of which is original and 2 copies which were made in the way you mention above. what i'm trying to do it swap the immobilizer unit over and match them to the keys/lock barrel i already have

I've never worked on a Fun so I'm not sure which Immo Box it has or if my tools will talk to it.

it's not a Fun, it's just a normal piickup, it's basically the same as a felicia, the immo box is seimens immo 1 unit (same as a 6n polo)

Sorry, didn't know there was a pickup that wasn't a Fun. The list of covered vehicles isn't particularly concise, and although I'd be surprised if it didn't work, I wouldn't like to confirm that it would.
