Maxidot retrofit

Featured Replies

Righty.

im not really likign the concept of getting halfrauds in ripping my car apart fitting a parrot.

according to stu i can't get the skoda bluetooth module unless i have a Columbus or Maxidot.

I really REALLY do want the maxidot function. however I've not been able to source a replacement dash insert.

am i going to have to go via the dealer to get them to retrofit it? or is there a way to DIY it? as i suspect the local dealer will murder my bank account...

The dealer probably won't do it (some have tried and managed, most have tried and failed).

I have done a few and so has Stu. Dashboards are around the £250 mark perhaps a little less and it's around 1.5 hours work maximum, even less with a VAS machine (main dealer) but unfortunately most dealers don't know their arses from their elbows.

You know that you're looking at £600+ for that.

You can fit a carkit yourself, properly, very easily like many of have

sadly mate i've got a 2.0 fsi, so it won't match up :(

on a side note. if the deals won't do it. i'll probably just have to do without

i just want the toys :(

It will work ;)

It will work ;)

TBH Simon, I think the dashpods are different for the petrol and diesel models, or at least you have to specify whether it's for a petrol or a diesel when you buy it

Oh, didnt know that. Thought it was all the same, and the wizardry was done by the ECU.
