I've been an Uber Geek Today

Featured Replies

Well today i developed the Tech Bug so did the Following

Updated my PS3 HDD from 60GB to 320GB yes count em 1,2,3….320GB :D:D Well 265GB when formatted and the PS3 has reserved it's 12% I took my External HDD apart found it was a 7200RPM drive so put that in the PS3 - result

I was going to back everything up but then thought Foook it i'll play all my Games again. Much Much more fun :D

So now running on PS3 OS 3.0.1 with 265GB of Free Space (not installed all games again yet)

Then as that went successfully i thought Fook it im going to upgrade my beloved MacBook Pro's HDD from 320GB to 500GB :D:D:D

So i swapped out the Apple 5400rpm 320GB HDD for a Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500GB HDD.

After deciding to a clean install and just putting all my Data back from a Time Machine Backup I'm now sat with a 17" MBP Running Snow Leopard with 416GB still available after restoring all my Data and Programs etc. Oh and everything seems to react just that little bit quicker - Result :D:D:D

So i am now officially an Uber Tech Geek for the Day

Oh and if anyone wants a 60GB PS3 HDD that will be a straight swap for a 40GB drive then PM me with a Sensible offer and it's yours :)

Simples:)

Don't think I'd better go to the next NW meet :rotz:

I've no idea how a large RAID setup works then. Does that equal multiple small appendages?? ;):giggle:
