Confused about Skoda bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Getting myself a bit confused as to what the "official" Skoda bluetooth kit comprises of. There is the system that Stu has given a very detailed rundown of how to install, which seems to be all the OEM parts etc. Then, on the Skoda website, there is a bluetooth kit that comes in grey or beige, which shows a picture of a little group of 4 buttons, central to 2 speakers? Not sure what is what.

Any ideas?

(PS did a search but could not find the answer!)

Anyone? Has anybody had the Skoda accessory Bluetooth fitted by their dealer? Curious to find out a bit about it.

The grey/beige device with the buttons is a BlueConnect device costs about £200ish and is a load of crap.

The factory bluetooth is much better and is what Stu provides although getting it fitted is more complicated.

Agreed completely.

The blueconnect device, is a very basic thing indeed. Kind of like an aftermarket bluetooth device you plug into a ciggy lighter socket. Apart from power the blueconnect device does not interface at all with the cars electrics and can be installed in just a few minutes. A member here had one fitted and it kept falling out of the roof everytime he closed the door.

The full OEM factory kit (as per stus instructions) full interfaces with the cars canbus electronics and does not look like you have it fitted at all.
