Annoyed with Skoda, pleased with my dealer

Last week I ordered a new VRS CR170 with DSG from Progress Bedford and the order was placed with Skoda UK to ensure I got it at the pre-increase price.

Since then I became aware that the Bluetooth phone option was completely different to say having a Parrot set-up in comparison with a remote Sim Access Profile of the Octavia and Superb.

With help from forum members I eventually confirmed that my new Nokia 5800 will work

SUK were not much help last week in just saying the list of phones in the brochure was the latest info.

So today I asked my dealer, Progress Bedford, to change to delete Maxidot from the order and add the full Bluetooth rSAP phone option with Maxidot to it.

Initially they said they could not change the order as SUK no longer allow amendments even though we are weeks away from build date.

My dealer in trying to get what I wanted ordered another complete car to my new spec. They can not cancel the last weeks order and will take it in as a stock car.

I appreciate what they have done but no thanks to Skoda for their inflexible position.:thumbdwn:
