Cat and Oil question

Recently I put a bit too much oil in my PD170 when I topped it up, since drained the excess off, but the few days it ran with a bit too much oil, I think it was spitting some down the exhaust and through the cat as i could smell it stood behind the car

Im guessing oil isnt healthy for that cat, with a bit of spirited driving will it burn any oil off it or have i buggered it up?

Also what about the DPF and oil?
