I posted a while about the fact I was considering getting a progressive NOS system. However I've also been offered a good deal on a Forge FMIC. I can only really go for one or the other at the moment (if any) and just wondered what folk's thought's on these were.

I'd get the FMIC, I've never like the idea of NOS and you only get the performance improvement in bursts at least with the FMIC your going to get improved cooling all the time.

Links not working Eddy.

Forge site keeps going down today, it is the correct link though.

Keep the comments coming, helpful so far.

BTW current engine mods are Revo 4 bar, green cotton panel filter, Samco TIP and Forge DV 007P.

I agree with Buzz L. The benefits of the FMIC - lower charge temperature and more power - will be present all the time at no further cost to you. My son has fitted a large one to his 200SX as a the first step towards getting substantially more power out of the engine. The benefits are very apparent with much better pick-up in power and mid-range torque.

You know my thoughts on NOS by now (yawn)...

FMIC

Get the intercooler Eddy.

(And let me know what you think :) )

cooler... like someone else said you'll only pay once with the fmic with nos you have to keep filling the bottle !

ok nos is a good idea in its theory and works well when setup properly and used sensibly... but i'm not overly convinced by it either, all to fast to furious for me.

BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

power baby, act now and think later ;)

You don't have to refill an intercooler, and it'll protect your engine more if you drive like a tool :)

What are you looking for?

Power?

What driving style?

FMIC won't give power per-say, compared to NOS, but as I posted on UKMKIV's FMIC does'nt need refilling. Different animals

  • 1 year later...

then big brakes

then big turbo!!!!!!!
