locking wheel nuts

Featured Replies

anybody know if they have changed on the facelift

mine came without covers and the delaer did as promisded and got me a set of covers within a few days but I will be buggered if I can get them on

part number 1Z0601173AZ37 which is as it should be for the mk2

I might not be giving them enough welly or just not doing it right of course..but the diameter of the cap seems to be just a bit smaller than the diameter of the outer bit of the locking nut!

Had a test today in a new demo VRS.

The locking wheel nuts did not have covers on

looks like they are 25mm instead of the previous 23mm

I found this

If you have the 'ABC' style locking bolt key in your boot (star shaped design fitted 1998-2005) then you need the 23mm inner diameter (8D0) locking nut caps, or,

if you have the 'EVO' style locking bolt key in your boot (large circular key with intricate inner design fitted 2004-present - note the overlap with above) then you require the larger 25mm (4F0) locking nut caps.

mine look like a new design of the EVO type..a six pointed star shape

Another cost cutting measure from Skoda me thinks......:thumbdwn:

Full size spare wheel anybody.........Bueller?..........Beuller?...........:D

I think they have just moved over to the same locking bolts as the rest of the parent company

fair enough!
