1.9d felicia running prob

Featured Replies

hi guys i bought a felly pick up a couple of weeks ago and have to say im well impressed with it never thought i would have had a skoda but now its my favorite car to date. tryed to get pictures up but cant get them working any how i serviced it yesterday and now cant get it to go right as it air locks all the time i can get it going by filling the fuellines with diesel and opening injectors and it will sit and run fine but when i stopped it and let it sit for a while the system just seems to fill with air again im well ****ed off now any help would be great lads:thumbup:

Is the fuel filter sealed properly? Are the injector pipes all tight? (dont overtighten them) May sound silly but does it have sufficient fuel in the tank? Are all rubber pipes to/from pump and injector returns sealed?

checked all that mate and i swear i could here air from a joint on the outlet on the fuel filter so the old one is back in and i got a hand primer from an ole puegeot in the scrappers bled it at the pump and all is looking well!

I'm not being funny here, but I'd be surprised to find that the injectors on a Felly D weren't self-bleeding. The last vehicle I worked on that didn't have self-bleeding injectors was an FX-4, about 1970 vintage.
