G1/Android Users- New update

Featured Replies

Yeah, went through the whole ext2 format exercise. How did you get your phone back to your custom setup so quickly though? 20 mins?!? I haven't got a list of my apps I used to have in Market either

Also, did a root backup first, but still can't seem to restore my old text messages...

I will drop a, more likely very long winded, email in a bit Steve.

I don't know much about the root backup as I never bothered myself as not fussed about keeping txt's etc.

Strange about the list of apps not been there. They were all there in the "Downloads" section in the Market after I first used it then I just went through and clicked install for all of them.

Cheers Phil. Most interested to see if I've got the same version of everything as you. Plus clearing up what I need to do with this v1.4 recovery image :D

Email sent! God I hope it all makes sense!

Looks a bit daunting at first but once you get on with it its just following instructions and won't take too long.

Phil

Thanks Phil. Yes, digestion in progress :)
