hi i've got a ticking coming from the back of the dash on my 2000 octavia its when i put the wipers on and they stop it starts any one got any ideas

Try changing where the air is sent i.e to front screen to feet etc and se if that cures it. It worked for mine. I think its the fans or something that directs the air. grief to sort, easier just to switch where it goes and enjoy the quiet!

If I'm wrong i'm sure someone will correct me.

hi thanks for that but dont think its that as on my its comes from the drivers side of the dash and the wipers move a little when its there

It could be from the wiper control unit. Remove the cover around the pedals, look up and you will see a large black or brown box plugged into the relay plate
