as im sure a few of you will know ive bought a fabia vrs 03 plate in red

i pick it up in a few weeks (funds tied up till then but deposit paid) been trawling around in here looking at bits i can do to it so ive just orderd the strut brace and spliter from seat and i havent even got the car yet cost just sorting out some tunning with a new company who want to start doing the fabias there well known up here but i cant say to much yet as still in disscussions as to what they can offer us one thing i was woundering is what suspension to go for :confused: dont want to lower to much as there are tons of speed bumps around here so could some one give me some advice on what drop is sensible and who/what make to go for got big plans for the fabia

In terms of handling mods, Koni FSDs and Eibachs are probably the ultimate 'conventional' suspension setup (but more than I was prepared to pay on what is a fairly cheap car TBH - my STR.Ts do a decent job once I found the right place to point the spray grease to stop them creaking...)

A lot of owners fit a rear beam brace from Whiteline or Jabba too.

Don't forget to tell your insurance company!

ye will be telling ins company its already half the price of the vectra anyway so even with mods should be no more than that

just picked up my strut brace and splitter took less than 24 hours for them to get the parts and only cost £77.79 all in :-)

I live near cleckheaton so not a million miles away. You won't miss simbo99 his briskoda stickers are HUGE. :-).

The strut brace makes a good bit of difference along with seat bushes.

there was a facelift in 2005(?) which included updated taillights

rear lights got changed (slighty ) when the model was face lifted (read "changed a tiny bit") around 05 plate (do a search there are plenty of threads on the changes)

Someone'll be along shortly to tell you that with a 53 plate car you'll have the longer gearbox

agh i see ye dont think i will bother and had worked out it has the longer 6th gear just woundering if it has the garret or the kkk turbo? dont know if it makes any difference but would be nice to know as regards rear lights i may change them for some with smoked white bits if you can get any? got a week of so going to do the splitter strut brace and hopefully tuned

i spend most of my day working/driveing all over bradford so there is a good chance you will see me

p.s 250 odd break wont do you much good with no wheels on so i will be in front pmsl

Dont mind the dealer sticker, when everything tallys up ie: plates, sticker and tax disc

looks as it is, a quality main dealer supplied car.

Better than AAA Motors tax disc with Majrona plates.
