Hello

I spoke to my dealer today who has advised that XDS is being fitted to all VRS models as of Week 45. I imagine this would be true for petrol models but is this going to be the case for Diesels too? My dealer was unable to confirm this as the system just stated VRS models. Does anybody know any different?

Oh dear. Maybe its a case of who you speak to on the phone....its even in the bang up to date brochure which is on their website.

Spoke to SUK again today.

As soon as I mentioned XDS, he said Ahh...

Anyway he got out a memo and read it to me which only said what we already know, will be on all new cars from week 45

He did say it would be on all VRS's i.e. diesels as well. Will have to wait and see.

He could not give me a full technical explanation of how it works

Must be the same memo that was read down the phone to me. If you google XDS I think you get a page come up on the VW Golf and that explains it.

It's also mentioned in the brochues for the new Ibiza Cupra and FR and they say it enhances the ESP.

It definitely exists and is within the VAG stable. Certain dealers can be a right set of bulbs denying such things exist. :thumbdwn:
