:Yikes:.................. Really im way out of my depth with things like that. like i say im not mechanically minded, i dont like spanners or nuts and bolts. so if there is a simpler way please share.

Bumper will need to be removed (parking sensors unplugged first) when the tow bar has been removed you will then need to replace the metal crash bar that the tow bar replaced.

Is it a removable swan neck bar (i assume not) if it is just remove that, depending on the type of tow bar fitted the bumper may also of been cut as well, IMO leave it on, thay make good protectors when someone drives into the back of you!

A fitted towbar can save you from careless parkers and tailgatters - keep it

?? :D

FLOL

Moved to Octavia II forum.

Is it an invisible once removed type? I'll have it if it is.

The fitting looks very similar to the Mk1, honestly its not to bad. You may need to undo the bolts and tie the bar to something strong and drive forwards SLOWLY to pull it out of the frame as it will be quite firmly stuck.

For Sale One Tow Bar:

Price: Come and remove it yourself

Simples :)

I'll bring the tractor, should come off with that

Agreed - and who needs rear parking sensors when you can touch park with a tow bar :D

I'd leave it on, you never know when you might actually need it
