ESP fault on VRS

Featured Replies

Hi

Wonder if anyone has had this problem, driving to work the other morning and the esp turned off all of a sudden. Tried to turn it back on but had no joy, the button is lit and will not change (after frequently pressing all the way to work in hope that it would). :( Does it sound like a costly job to fix, thought I'd ask before booking into dealers.

oh yeh, £1000 job if the unit has failed, loads on here and more poping up every day,

skoda paid 40% of the cost for mine, 60% of the cost on others, either way its bad news unless you have a warranty :(

Thanks for the reply, not wanted I wanted to hear though as not under warranty:(, might be driving with it off for a while me thinks! I'll see what the dealers say.

point to note, if your cars is due a service soon, then a full diagnostic check would become part of the service, but if you just booked it in for a diagnostic check then they may charge you £80 odd quid just for that, how many miles on the clock? how far out of warranty? full skoda service history? where did you buy it from?, all these questions will be asked by any customer services contribution by skoda.
