Suspension - What is this bit called?

Got my friend to have a look today and he says the Wishbone bushes are fine, but the anti roll bar seems to be rusted and destroying the bush on the drivers side.

Think I'll be ordering a new anti roll bar and some uprated bushes then.

Just looking at the Awsome Website and there are various different makes and sizes. I take it the bigger the size, the harsher the ride? What comes recomended for normal driving, but wanting improved handling, without a bone crushing ride?

If I get am uprated roll bar, do I have to purchase the bushes seperately, or do they come with bushes?

Sorry for all the probably silly questions :D

I would be very surprised if a worn anti roll bar bush is causing wishbone bush damage. It will obviously not help handling though.

When my friend checked it, he said there was no damage to the Wishbone and the bush was fine. He then checked the anti roll bar and said it was rusting away and he's confident that is what the problem was. The knocking noise wasn't as bad as normal when I took him out.

Awsome have come back to me and I should be ordering a Neuspeed one very shortly, just waiting to hear back from the Garage for a quote to fit it along with discs and pads at the front, as my mate said they were quite badly worn

Hi there sorry yep you did state wishbone bush not damaged,

If you have just knocking then agree that is a good symptom of worn ARB bushes or Anti roll bar drop links. (these get play in the ball joint ends)

You could just replace the ARB bushes with poly ones like superpro or Powerflex as they would greatly improve your handling. Unless you are fitting a rear ARB or replacng the suspension an aftermarket ARB not essential.
