Basically a friend has got vagcom but he doesnt know much about it but i took a diagnostics on it and these 5 fault codes popped up

and i was hoping the genius's on here could help and tell me if there a big problem or easily fixable etc the codes are

00788 steering angle sensor

01044 control mod incorrectly coded

00532 supply volt b +

01598 drive battery voltage

18009 relay for supply volt terminal 30

any replies would be great thanks

steering angle sensor failure is a common fault

looks like you also have battery issues and/or connector issues

Could just be a low battery causing the problems. Last winter the steering light came on the dash on cold mornings, if I switched off and restarted it went out. This was due to short runs with lights on etc.

Check the battery and the charging voltage first.

might be silly question but if a fault has occured then you have fixed it (IE BATTERY PROBLEMS THEN REPLACED BATTERY) (oops caps lol) will it go on its own or do you have to clear the fault??

Some faults will clear themselves, other more important ones need to be physically cleared.
