Hi all,

Just to say hello from a forum newbie but an old Skodaphile going back some 20 years whose past Skodz include

Estelle 120 (ex taxi)

Rapid 130 with weber carb and rorty exhaust (mini 911)

Favorit 130 with fuel injection,ha ! so slow a fully loaded milk float could outdrag it !

Feicia 1.6 in maroon complete with nodding dog on parcel shelf.

Octavia VRS Mk1 wih Revo re-map,custom made intercooler,Forge dump valve,an air filter that was like a Dyson vac and the baddest sounding zorst this side of hell and it made 232 bhp ! License loser.....

And to bring things full circle i have a FL Octavia VRS TDI Hatch on order in candy white with the following bitz..

Full leather,Xenons,Maxidot,Autolights,Rear Park sensors and fullsize spare,only mods i want are gloss black wheels and black grille surround.

Hi! Octavia vRS TDI 2015 - For a while I've been experiencing constant DPF regens - the idle tick over constantly sits at 1K with the radiator fans running for a while after the ignition is turned off. I drive motorway miles daily so it's not a symptom of short trips although on longer 2 trip ~2hrs the Particle Filter warning will appear but clears after ignition reset. I've noticed the regens are having a massive impact on fuel economy (only managing ~350 miles on a full tank when previously

I have a 2014 diesel octavia estate 1.6 blk edition. Lately, and since service my mpg is alot lower than normal. I understand my car is old but recently ive noticed im using more fuel. Ive asked my usual mechanic and hes replied with the expected answer i thought hed suggest which is weather, tyres, speed, fuel prices and that mpg is never ro be trusted. Im not taking fuel prices into consideration as im seeing my fuel being used up more. Mpg today has been 34,on a route i normally use and get

After having no working windows for at least a year or two, I decided to try & finally get to the bottom of it. The driver window went first, then months after the passenger one stopped too. I took both doors apart, driver side there was nothing obvious other than some cracked wires inbetween the door& chassis which i repaired but didnt make any difference. Passenger side as soon as i took the motor off the door, the switch would work going down, intermittent going back up. After some
