Hi all!

Not sure why it's taken me so long to sign up, but I've been a Skoda convert since 2006 when I choose to purchase a V6 TDi Superb as my company car much to the bemusement of some of my colleagues at work lol! They soon fell silent when they saw the car and even shed a tear or two when they discovered I only paid 15K for a titan grey (best colour in my opinion) 4 week old 100mile pre-registered 56 plate comfort model with the full leather and the solid alloy wheels upgrade. Have loved the car over the last 3 years and racked up just over 100,000 trouble free miles in that time. The car only asks for a service every 22K with only the wiper blades and an occassional bulb requiring a change inbetween. The V6 diesel is a lazy engine, but suits my mainly motorway 35K each year and gets an average minimum 42mpg on each run. I've even had 630 miles out of one tank! Although no sports car like my previous zetec s mondeo, for relaxed high mileage cruising I can't think of a better mode of transport at the price. The Skoda main dealer I use in Colchester has been brilliant with nothing ever being too much trouble. I can even phone them off the cuff when a bulb goes and they let turn up whenever and change it while I wait. Fantastic!! Wouldn't have been able to do that with Ford. Anyway, you can probably see that i'm slightly anal about my car, but that comes with the territory being an Essex man (its in the blood!). You have a great forum from what I have seen so far and I look forward to contributing to it when I can. Oh and my next car.... well probabley a highly specced up Octavia VRS dsg diesel, but that will have to wait until July next year!!
