Windows 7 boot problem

Ok this one is wierd.

Installed Windows 7 yesterday - refreshingly easy and quick, very please with it so far etc etc.

However, if I reboot the PC I get a message from 'system32/winload.exe' reporting that it 'cannot verefy the digital signature'.

The wierd bit is, if I stick the Windows DVD back in the drive, let the PC recognise it as a boot option (as I have the CD drive set higher than the HDD in the boot order) but don't press anything at the 'press any key to boot from CD' prompt, it loads up fine!

I have 3 drives - Windows is installed to drive '1' where it told me I had '0', '1', and '2' but this was basically installed over the top of a Vista installation.

Any clues? MSCONFG and easyBCD tell me I've only got one boot option in there :mad:

OK not to worry - I've changed the boot order of the [3 ] drives in the PC and that's seemed to solved it.

Hi all, I've had my mk4.5 Octavia vRS for almost 3 weeks and while I find it to be a great car overall, there's some things that are a bit annoying. Lane assist: I understand what it's trying to do but the implementation seems flawed so it's a good thing it's easy to switch off. I had forgotten to turn it off today though and while driving down a road which is wide enough for two cars but only if you stick to the edge of the road, the lane assist kept trying to push me closer to the centre. Today I drove around 150 km on the motorway using ACC/Travel Assist, and I received the “Pay attention to the road” warning roughly 20 times. What concerns me most is that while some warnings might be expected if I briefly glance away, others occurred unexpectedly, even when I was clearly looking ahead at the road. The behavior is similar regardless of whether I’m wearing sunglasses or not, so I don’t think that’s the main factor. At this point, it’s becoming more distracting than helpful. I’

I have a 2021 Octavia petrol with 57k km on it. I've had this problem for at least a year now, it hasn't really gotten worse. There seems to be a rattle sound coming from the clutch area, and it varies when I press the clutch pedal. Sometimes it goes away when I press the clutch pedal, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I need to hold it halfway before it goes away, Then right after that when I press or depress it again it comes back. So it's not consistent, it seems to vary a lot while

Hi, hopefully you won't mind my question here - I don't have an Octavia, but its close relative from a Spanish brand. But mechanically, they are same. Anyway, I have a 77kW CBZB. It worked flawlessly for the year I own the car, but when this summer started, I noticed occasional loss of power. It only happens in hot weather (around 30 degrees and up) with AC on. In most cases, it happened when I wanted to accelerate after mild climbing at lower gear at ~2000RPM. It feels almost like a limp mode
