OK strange one this as only just noticed after a years ownership of the car! The cigarette lighter works in that you can hold the button in and it heats up but not as it should.

In all other cars I have had it would stay pressed in and pop back out automatically once warm enough. the one in the Octy won't. You have to hold it in otherwise it pops back out :rotz:

I have replaced the actual part that goes into the socket and no difference, so it must be something up with the socket, any ideas or just worth replacing?

mine did this. i removed the fuse for the cigar lighter (check the manual for its position) and bend the socket in slightly at the base where it catches the lighter with a small screw driver.

then replace the fuse.
