Just been mucking about with the compare webistes cos' i'm due for renewal at the start of December. Decided to start looking early!

Decided to pretty much tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth on the forms - can't give the Traffs a free run at me if i get stopped. Just never declared the remap since nobody can tell by looking.

Put Maw n' Paw on the policy too.

Came in at £703 with RAC down considerbaly form last years £1100

Does anyone know where i may get it EVEN cheaper? INsurer maybe not on a compare site?

If you're not going to declare the remap, then any insurance you buy won't be valid. In which case, why bother at all? Most you'll get for driving without insurance is 200 quid and three points.

You're asking the wrong people on here if you want advice on how to break the law. Grow up and take some responsibility for your actions... :thumbdwn:

The insurance company can and will look for the remap and can easily tell if it's got one, regardless of what some well-known tuners say.

If you're not gonna bother declaring then why bother with insurance? Your policy is invalid anyway, and it'll be on the rest of us to pay for any damage you cause

I'm fully aware that by not declaring that invalidate my insurance. And in answer to your why bother at all question...

Because the police have ANPR cameras and if i was to "not bother at all" it be fairly painful to have to deal with 6 points and a fine for having no insurance!

Merely asking for a little advice from like minded persons with the same vehicle. Not too much to ask.

I'll echo the comments already left. If you can't afford the insurance, don't modify - it's really as simple as that.

As for other companies to try - have a look in the Insurance section. I would suggest you contact Sky, Chris Knott, Adrian Flux and Brentacre. And mention the remap

Because you might leave one of us severley out of pocket if we have the misfortune of having a coming together!
