Black spots...help

Featured Replies

Hello, i washed my car today and gave it a wax but on closer inspection there is lots of little black spots all over, is there any product i could use to remove them and clena up the paint. Thanks Glenn

You could clay it, depending on what the spots are...

Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover, it's the dogs danglies to get them off!

Just remember to polish the area you've treated afterwards!

can i use that on the whole car? do you just put it on a rag, then polish it after? cheers

Yes, you could do the whole car if you needed to!

It's a doddle to use, just apply it to a cloth (it's very thin stuff so be careful) and it'll soften the spots in question and then you can easily wipe them off!

Just apply a good quality polish when you've finished and Roberts your mothers brother! :D

Claying or some form of Tar Remover will help you out mate, if it's Tar that's on the paintwork.........

As stated above?

Go to Halfords or somewhere similar and get hold of the Meguiars Clay Kit. It contains everything you need to get the spots off your paintwork. It is REALLY easy to use and you won't regret buying it. Make sure you do the whole car though as you won't be able to stop stroking the super smooth paintwork after you have done it and you will want the WHOLE car to be clayed!

is there any other clay bars i can use? should i go for an abrasive one? will this make much diffrence? thanks

i would use the same as black cat mentioned above it basically disolves it without the pain of having to clay and then can be washed off.

The Megs Clay Kit is a good place to start, if you find it's not that aggressive then move onto something like Elite's Yellow Clay or Sonus Green Clay which is a great all rounder........

Your sure could, or if your looking to get something in bulk, which will also come in handy as a drying aid then invest in some Megs Last Touch..........
