Hi - Introduction and query - Fabia 1.9TDI

Featured Replies

I've just found the site - it seems to be packed with interesting stuff.

I have had a Fabia 1.9 TDI for 4 months having had to part company with my Citroen ZXTD due to head gasket problems.

The Fabia seems to be a worthy successor. In many ways it is a little gem but I am having trouble getting dealers to take interest in "used car warranty work".

I have noises from the front nearside suspension when going over road humps - cured for just 2 days by the last trip to the dealers.

I also have a noise like a failing clutch release bearing, coming from the suspension at crawling/low speeds in traffic.

I have looked through all of the road tests published on the car and no one mentions transmission noise as a characteristic.

Is there anyone out there with similar noises - is it normal?

Also does anyone know how to remove a front door panel to check for a rattle in the door? The lack of availability of a workshop manual is a real problem.

Welcome, Quent. The threads below might help, and there are probably even more in the my ICE forum.

As far as noises are concerned, have you read the following thread which is a survey of common problems affecting the Fabia?
