"Squeaky" suspension

Featured Replies

I have a January 2007 vRS.

When I first had the car I noticed just how smooth the ride was - well on a good road, if the road is poor then the drive can be harsh.

Anyway, I'm sure that as I went over speed bumps and the like there was little if any noice from the car at all.

I have however noticed over the past month or so that as I go over those same speed bumps in out town the suspension seems to "Squeak".

Is this an indication that something is starting to go on the vehicle?

Of do you expect to get a certain amount of squeaking when you go over speed bumps etc?

If it is something failing - I'm going to assume that will probably be classed as "consumable" and not be covered by warranty?

Only grease to be applied on ARB bushes, don't worry at all.

I experienced the same issue on my 08 Vrs on the front left. There was a loud squeak when going slowly over speed bumps. When i brought it to the garage they replaced the two front Bushing in the front suspension they had badly deteriorated. Thank fully under warranty so no charge. when i brought car back for it's 90K service the rear bushings were also replaced due to rubber becoming weakened. The dealer mentioned that they are the only garage in Ireland replacing the rear bushings but the front are a common warranty job. Must say that the car feels much firmer on motorways:rofl:
