Nice pics, what camera and settings did you use? Are you a pro photographer?

thanks for the comments.

@ buster - just using a conon 400d, im currnetly studying photography in college and plan to make a living from it.

Nice!She looks friendly :D

Very nice shots :D

Some good stuff John

A few comments on composition if I may - I'm not a full time pro, so don't take these as the truth, all the truth and nothing buy the truth :D

1 is nice. I probably would have had taken the photo less square on to the background, showing more depth of field effect, and the OOF background would probably isolate the model a bit more. But could well be the background further away (to the left of the frame) might have not been suitable :)

2, I would have tried to get a bit more of the interesting tree to the right of the ruin; have the ruin on the left hand third, tree on the right. As it is, it just looks a bit too much P&S type photo.

3, I find the blown out reds, going on pink a bit distracting. But maybe that was your intention, make them stand out :)

4 I like :D Probably a tiny bit more open space to the left, emphasise the "into the past" a bit more

5 I really really like :)

6 is just plain cool, or :D

edit: just had a look at your site. Your studio stuff is pretty good, and some of the lighting is very nice. Keep it up

I love the headphone picture :) Brilliant work.

No. 4 I would have put less central, more into the RH third, but cracking pic nontheless!

I'm doing portrait photos in class next week - have already apologised for any lenses I may crack if I'm modelling! "Blue Steel" I think will be the pose du jour!!
