New Octavia 1.6 CR TDI Elegance ( Lights )

Featured Replies

HELP.......! I have just become the proud owner of this new car, but in the manul ad show room list book this now comes with " Turn fog lights" as standard and the lights in the fogs ( there are two bulbs ) can also be used ab DTRL...? But we have tried to do this via the book instuction and spoken to many dealers...Guess what? They have'nt got a clue..I had to tell them about the mirrors being able to fold in via the the key-fob! So the thing is does anyone know how to set these lights up....? ( Also have light assit fitted ) Thanks:eek:

Same as in the new mk 5 golf, ask a vw dealer , mate has them and a good idea lights up those dodgy kerbs .

Thanks for that...Just been to see dealer in Warwickshire and he said the same..go to VW..But also said that the dealer who sold it to me would have put the wrong mapping code on from VW and all they have to do is bluetooth the ECU with their laptop and re-map the light settings...Should cure it....

And yes....All new 2009/10 Elegance upwards come with DTRL and Cornering fogs..you just have to get them to set them up first...:)

Whats the 1.6cr like to drive? Does it have enough power? Just looking at maybe changing my Fabia VRS to an octavia.

I personally think the 1.6 cr is (more than) powerful enough, but stepping out of a Fabia vRS, that's something else! I would test-drive it first...
