I did a trip last year in my meriva VXR and spent £300+ just on fuel of which most of it was getting there and back some 1200 miles intotal :thumbdwn:

Im planning to go back again next year in the fabia but this time im going via hull not dover so in total its a 600 mile round trip ish exe track time.

So my question is has any one been and if so how much did they spend on fuel getting there and back ? and on track trying to work out how much i need for the trip

my avg mpg for the meriva was 22mpg most of which was around town on the motorway it would be about 35mpg ish but on the way over i was trying to keep up with 6 x stage 3 Astra VXR's and a VXR8 so had my work cut out think most of the time on the trip i was getting 15mpg :P down to 7.2mpg when i tickeld it

On track, you shouldn't get less than about 12 to 15 mpg. I know I don't/

Christ, the sx does 6 laps to a tank (holds 65litres too)

i think i used about £190 of Diesel when i went to the Ring in 2007, that was 14 laps of the Ring, then on the way home did about 53 laps of Spa, 1760 miles total for the trip, but obviously the the Euro to pound exchange rate was better back then

I managed to get from home (in Devon) to the Ring, last month on one tank £50 (600 miles roughly). Filled her up, and thats as far as I got with regard to fuelling the fabia haha. The utter useless piece of 1.4 Opel Meriva that I got as a hire car for the way home used about £35 worth of petrol just to get to Calais!

I did 3 tanks on our trip last year... £100 in total...

On my last trip I did about 4 tanks in total travelling from St Albans via Calais to Prum (couldnt get a hotel in Nurburg area) and nailed 15 laps of the Ring plus a bit of driving about to get to some of the viewing points.
