Canvas prints

Featured Replies

Anyone had an shots they've taken put onto canvas? Perhaps using one of the online places?

Been thinking about getting a few done and I've just done a quick Google. The prices seem reasonable but I'm more worried about the quality to be honest, so would prefer using someone that comes recommended :)

Cheers,

Steve

Steve, Staples have started printing directly on to canvas

Would have to see the results really Chris, before I went to them. So if anyone's actually used them, I'm all ears :)

Cheers,

Steve

Hello Steve,

What size are we talking here? I know a very good eBay seller and a person who works in Staples! I'm sure if you send me an image and size I could get a quote?

Does this help?

Rob.

Rob, I work in Staples. Steve, they have sample print outs on display.

Not massive Rob - perhaps around 410mm x 300mm?

Maybe drop me a line for your recommended seller and I can take a look....

Cheers,

Steve

Some one mentioned Canvas king to us as while back but not got round to trying them.

Yes, but I'm not going to go down there and pay for a print to be done, without first seeing the quality of the work :)

Do you work at Staples Chris?

Cheers John; will take a look.

I do, like I said before, each store will have samples out for customers to see the quality of the prints

Hi Steve, I've got one of my photos on canvas on my wall. I'll try and dig out who I got it from, but pretty happy with the quality. It wasn't one of the high street names, it was a specialist. I have a photographer friend in Manchester who prints his own work, so I can ask him if he does canvases or knows someone who does.

I have just signed up to Redbubble, and you can get prints and canvases from there and the prices look pretty reasonable. Maybe worth a look?

I used Pics2posters.co.uk for a print of my daughter on canvas, reasonable price but the service was pretty dire, it took almost a month to get delivered.

£45.50 including delivery for an A2 print on framed stretched canvas

Quality was good though so if you don't mind a wait they could be worth considering.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. The Canvas King service looks good, but will take a look at the others too.

That Glasgow one is worth looking into as well, as I could get it done there as I've family there and I'm up there quite often anyway

Cheers,

Steve

I got some A4 canvas and printed one myself which came out very nicely using a Canon IP4300.

  • Author

Hmm, yeah that's worth thinking about as I could probably do the same - I have an IP3000.

Swmbo saw some at Costco - should have examples to see there and able to deal face to face.

Bugger! Was just in there on Friday - D'oh!

Tranformyourimages.co.uk has a shop in the arndale centre where you can see what they have done, & they will do it for you there.

I saw their shop they recently opened in Lakeside, & the results look ok .

Thanks Steve - might pop in there then

Other togs I know use togsprint.com

There is to a certain extent "you get what you pay for" with much of these.

I've now found my supplier for framed prints. It's simply the best quality I've seen and miles above the average weprint2urcanvas.com site
