I have just bought some alpine 1750 and have a couple of questions.

The wiring in the front of my octavia has a double connector at the front door speakers. i have bought one of the adaptors off ebay to avoid chopping up the cables.

1) does the cable running to the tweeter still work with these adaptors?

2) the speakers come with a blue cable which assume connects to the main speakers and then runs upto the tweeters, is this right.

Unfortunately the speakers do not come with any instructions and my adaptor hasn't arrives yet so i cant try it out.

I know it is a simple upgrade but i dont want to mess it up and chop cables unneccesarily. I know these are a popular upgrade from reading this forum but cant find any info on actually connecting them

Hi Andy,

Yes the front door speakers and front tweeters are connected via the dual connector at the front door speakers. The adaptor you have should sort this out so that both work. Other than that the speakers are very easy to get to and replace.

The other trick people use on here is removing the rear door tweeters. The connector should be in the boot, it too has dual connectors for your speakers, you just remove one of the connectors in order to stop the rear tweeters from playing.
