Revo stage 2 and CEL light

Featured Replies

Morning All,

I was speaking to a sales guy at Backdraft motorsport in Milton Keynes about upgrading my Furby to Stage 2 Revo, during the conversation I queried my CEL light which I have triggered from fitting my Jabba EGR bypass pipe.

The guy was adamant that the Stage 2 Revo map would automatically remove the CEL light saying "it would ignore the 2nd lambda sensor no problem".

Can anyone verify this or have any experience with having it done? I think I'm going to take a punt anyway, purchase an exhaust system and see what happens! I think it's only £50 for me to upgrade my Revo map to stage 2 as I already have Revo stage 1 so not got much to lose

I'm 95% certain than you don't have any lambda sensors on your car? Perhaps someone else can confirm this.

The reason you have a CEL light is not related to lambda its related to the EGR and most tuners can turn this off.

I thought this was the case - off what I have read on Brisky I was under the impression some more extensive mapping was involved - I may as well go ahead and get this done though and afterwards I can say "My CEL lights still on, what's the craic"
