New Style 59 Plate Octavia 1.9TDI Elegance

Featured Replies

Hi All!

Stumbled upon the forum whilst trying to find out whether my Google G1 Phone would be compatible with the built-in Bluetooth tool

Anyways, ordered the car in July, arrived end of October as described, picked up today and enjoyed the drive home! Traded in my 1998 Ford Escort (scrappage) and I'm enjoying driving a solid, German built VW.. I mean Audi... sorry I mean Skoda Octavia! :D

The new shape gives the Octavia a somewhat stylish and elegant appearance and I'm impressed with everything about it...except the bluetooth compatibility! I shall raise that in another thread....

Cheers, D

Lol, and welcome! At least you have bluetooth. I'm driving the new facelift Vrs, and it has bugger all, unless you go for the DSG auto gearbox. I'm glad I didn't bother, as I can have a bluetooth fitted at the dealer as an after market job, and still get the ace feeling manual box.

Enjoy your motor, I just hope it hasn't got "BJ" in the plate like mine!!! LOL:thumbup:

Cheers mate - you never know, that plate might fetch something at a private auction!! LOL. Mine's plain and simple fortunately...

As for after market add ons thats why I didn't pay £500 ish for sat nav instead I'll pay £100 ish for a Tom Tom that me and the wife can share but saying that, now that Google/Android have released a turn by turn version of Google Maps I can simply use my mobile phone instead! Still, am keen to have the BT working on the G1...

Excuse me... the old shape does too you know! :P

....there's still some of us around with the old shape & some with the old, old shape & one guy with the old, old, old shape! :D

Welcome aboard! :)

haha - well I'm new to the Skoda family so excuse my ignorance, never knew they did older models (LOL)

Seriously though they've come on leaps and bounds, massively. My friends mum worked at a Skoda factory in the 80's (or was it 90's) and there were always masses of complaints. Now that they're in German hands I'm sure they justify the moto of creating 'happy drivers'.
