New Member VRS Octavia mk1

Hi,

Recently purchased a 53 plate Black Octavia VRS, I absolutely love driving it. Had a little bit of stick off my friends when i got it, i'm 28 & probably not classed as a cool car + the usual Skoda jokes but when they have been a run in it the soon change there minds + when i tell them the price.

I little weird how i came to own one i never planned on becoming a Skoda Owner but very glad i am now!! I was looking at a BMW 325ci and got out bid at an auction. When telling the story to a customer of mine who happened to buy & sell cars he pointed out this big black car outside after a 10 min test drive no way was that car going. I bought for the car for £300 cheaper than the W reg BMW with twice as much spec, my car has reversing sensors and built in sat nav!! i have been told they are not standard????

The only thing that is bothering me is 1st time you start the car up from cold it runs a little noisy and can be hard to drive with the revs dropping down!! then after approx 1 min it goes silent and runs like a dream??? Does it have a warm up sequence & does any body elses do it!!!

Thanks

Martyn

Hiya.

The "stick" figures, but a short demo of the pace usually shuts most people up yes.

Reversing sensors and factory sat nav are not standard, no.

The stuff that's bothering you is normal; do a search for "secondary air pump".

Hi Martyn

Some clever people on here , and Ken is one of them

He is correct too , and you , yes they have a warm up pump if you like secondry air pump

As for the Skoda stick that your getting , take them out for a blast and show them the huge boot :D

Taxi drivers use them for a reason ;)
