Welcome! I own a 2000 (W) SLX TDI hatch and it's been brilliant. Only problem I've had in 4 years & 54,000 miles is a warped front disc, a broken front spring, a couple of electric window 'sliders' and 4 litres of fence paint over the boot during an emergency stop:mad::(

Thanks for the welcome, yours is the same as mine (64 k on mine) Just had to change both front disks, pads and a rear coil but apart from that been great for the year we've had it. Only snag is the temperature guage rarely moves ( I think the thermostat might be stuck)

Mine's actually covered 105k now (front pads and discs covered 45k - pads were still ok). Don't know why they keep breaking springs. Not had any problems with the thermostat to date.
