Engine Management Fault

Featured Replies

Following a post regarding engine management light coming on. Now been to main dealer twice to have fault diagnosed. Has been diagnosed twice and the light has come back on virtually straight away each time. Really frustrating !!!! Fault has come up with high pressure in the low fuel pressure pump. Fault now showing at the time of diagnosis, but in the management system memory.

Has anyone any ideas what could be causing this and how it can be fixed? Is still under warranty but main dealers seem to be reluctant to fix, but happy to keep putting light out. In the meantime, I'll keep pestering main dealer........

Any thoughts would be very welcome.

Get them to sort it - threaten with a letter to Skoda UK. They're probably hoping to fob you off long enough so you give up.

Lights don't come on for no reason. It's still under warranty therefore it should be fixed end of story.

You're luckier than some on the forum - they have problems but no errors logged or lights :)

Reluctant to fix it

What are some dealers like.Keep pestering them to fix it and as mentioned lights just don,t come on for no reason.

Good luck

Thanks guys, i will keep on pestering the main dealer its just the time without the car, 3 days in the last week and nothing resolved. I suppose it will be worth it in the end ,thanks again for the support, omni.

You could try another dealer, or ask to see the dealer principle to express your concern. Did you purchase it new? You could contact your supplying dealer and have them look at it.

If they've tried 3 times to fix, then you could have an Indy look at it then send them the bill but this might mean some legal action but not uncommon.
