felicia rev counter

Featured Replies

Looking to put a rev counter in the 98 1.9d pickup. Found a new one for the slightly later model but unsure how it will wire in. Does anybody know whether it connects to the w on the alternator or the ecu. A wiring diag. would help, can`t seem to find one.Any one got any ideas?

the rev signal comes from pin 1 on the ecu, but is also connected to the W terminal on the alternator, it should already be wired up for it

Is it a seperate wire that goes to the alternator then tom? What colour wire would this be on a 1.3?

My rev counter has never worked right and I have even tried a whole new wire from the ECU to the back of the dash as well as a new dash pod and rev counter but it still doesn't work!

So the wire that comes from the alternator must provide a variable voltage to the rev counter along with the signal from the ECU right?

the above only applies to the diesel models phil.

Ah! In which case... I appologise for the off topic-ness and swiftly exit :D:thumbup:

I guess I will just live it then! :rotz:

have you tried a different ecu phil?
