The .:R on Awesome's Rollers

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong forum section :o

Back in August I got the R32 remapped and cruise control fitted at Awesome GTI (CLICKY).

Shortly after I got the Milltek resonated cat-back exhaust fitted along with an oil and filter change, and the car went on their rollers. I was surprised by the results, as using 22% transmission losses as a guide that equates to the standard car with the Milltek and Neuspeed air filter having 247bhp and 230lb-ft.

With the APR remap, Milltek and Neuspeed air filter, that equates to 267bhp and 240lb-ft :D

Bearing in mind that the car had only done around 8000 miles, I was really impressed with those figures.

I want to thank both Sarah and Andy for their help and putting up with me lol.

The graph is shown below:

Sarah,

Thats okay, I appreciated that it was late and I'm thankful for Andy for staying past 4 o'clock to help me. By chance it was good that he got to show myself and another guy how the APR software worked at the same time

Babs,

I didn't get a chance to hear most of the runs as I was in the waiting area. It did sound fantastic through the glass though :D Luckily Jim let me stand by the car for the final run and it sounded amasing  I was grateful that he let me do that, just a shame I didn't take my camcorder to video it

I'm also glad I chose the resonated Milltek over the non resonated version after speaking to a couple of people. The non resonated one would have been far too loud and the Neuspeed exhaust I was compreheding would have been even worse again.
