Full beam and Wipers on when using Indicators

Featured Replies

Just wondered what I can check as everytime you use the indicators the wipers come on very very slowly and the full beam aswell, I thought it may be the stalk but the wipers are on the opposite side of the indicator stalk.

Just wondered if anyone else has had this, sometimes it will only do it now and again but other times it will always do it constant.

Cheers.

I had this on my felly! Although without the wipers coming on. There must be some voltage leaking into the wipers.

Just change the indicator stalk. You may be able to sort it by taking it apart and cleaning the contacts etc.

I had something like that on my Nova once.... it was a wet morning, iirc. At the time, it was suggested the wiper motor earth was the issue.

Found the problem, There was a brake in the earth cable under the bonnet that connected 3 circuits by some bolt onto the metal of the car.

The circuits were...Wipers, Abs Brake System and Full Beam and because one of these cables were broke it was making the other 2 play up.

It seems ok now, isnt it amazing what happens when u dont even touch something.
