My cd autochanger on my Octavia vRS has stopped playing cds it just loads the cd then displays "surface" have looked in the manual,changed the cds and relaoded but still does the same.Any ideas anyone as to the cause/solution?

Yes tried both ways still does the same.

Could it be condensation on the lens due to the recent change in temps?

i suppose it could be but have had the car 3 years and never had the problem before,any ideas how to cure the problem listening to the rubbish on the radio is driving me crazy.Seems strange how it was playing a cd as normal and then just stopped and just displayed "surface".
