Expect an offer of around £500 - yes that low, and fight it up to a grand.

Good luck.

how do i do that?

Well when you tell your insurance company about the crash, they will send an assessor to look at yours to see if its worth repairing. They will get in touch with a settlement figure, which you will most likely need to reject, and give evidence that its worth more. :)

Dont take any less than a grand for it , if it was lower milage that would be worth around £1200 , I looked at a few recent private sale ads and they are all around the £1200 mark with about 75K miles on it , you should look in your local press and cut out (or print off the net) adverts for cars that are a similar age and milage as yours , and present these to your insurance company.

skoda fabia classic 1.4 8v mpi ~108k miles. one website told me that at private sale it would be worth £1200

What condition though?

Insurance co's will normally use poor or average in their vaulations.

Clutch and ecu dont meant anything.
