Sony Ericsson Satio phone which has just come out and is being hyped as the phone that will give Apples I Phone a run for its money....here is the sony ericsson review...

Sony Ericsson Satio review from TechRadar UK's expert reviews of Mobile phones

Buthave heard that the I Phone is going to drop in price in the new year as much as 50% and could even be free on certain plans.

The thing about the I Phone i like is the apps thing but not the 2 megapixel camera.

Any ideas on this...

They've been saying phones will be the iphone killer for nearly a year, nothing has turned up yet.

I personally think Phones with the Android OS will soon catch up with the iPhone, but thats still 6 months+ off, and we really need some nice hardware, to go with a good OS, i've certainly not liked any of the Android phones i've seen yet.

If you think the iPhone will drop in price by a large amount, i think your mistaken. Apple are a nightmare for keeping prices high. The hardware itself is expensive, so its going to take an expensive contract to reduce the price.

I'd personally get an iphone right now, feck the cost. When they first came out, i went down another avenue, and always felt like id got second best, now i have one, its the best phone i've ever owned, worth every penny.

Isn't the 3GS 3mp now?

But either way, out of those two I would take the iPhone. It's not what I would choose out of the entire market, but I found the Satio dire. The touch screen was awful and unresponsive, keyboard was tiny and, the main thing, being a SE it will be like every other other SE on the market in terms of interface and apps. Also, I don't think apps can be added on the Satio, limiting it a lot vs. rivals.

However, it does have a good camera, and is a lot cheaper than an iPhone.

When I order an upgrade, it will most likely be an HTC Hero, one of the closest things to an iPhone, but a lot cheaper.

I quite agree, just check out the spec :)
