Continental Headlights VRS 2009 FL

Featured Replies

Guys/Gals,

I appologise if this mentioned elsewhere but I am after information on the FaceLift VRS's headlights (not XENON):

1. Are they fully switachable from RHD to LHD (not the flat beam option as on the MK2)

2. If not convertable then does anyone know where I can get a set of LHD in the UK even if they are used?

Many thanks in advance for your reply's .

Thanks for the reply but as I stated i'm looking for a LHD set of lights and by which I mean not a flat beam but one that kicks up which the Xenon's are only switchable to flat beam. I need the light to kick up to the right as opposed to the left kick up which a LHD (UK) light does.

The price for the headlights in germany are double the price that they are for uk ones from a dealer thats why im looking for a used set or if anyone knows if a dealer can order a set with a different code like seat did for me last year and saved me 75% of the price of a german 'Herr **** Turpin' dealer!

You wont get LHD lights from the UK.

Either LHD or RHB lights will only flatbeam for driving on the other side of the road. On halogen lights this is still manual. On Xenons, this is set via maxidot.

Thanks for your input but I'm glad I ain't wet behind the ears and took your advice as gospel.

Just spoke to Horbin's Skoda Manchester and they have just ordered me a set of 'LHD' - with a right hand flick (not flat beam) lights which will take 5 days from Skoda and cost £132.00 each inc of vat and they will even post to germany for £20.00... Now thats what I call a dealer as I used Horbins of Preston for my SEAT's and they were just as good.

Cheers for the reply anyhow

Be interested to know how a LHD unit will kick right upon the metal bar inside being moved, yet the RHD units only flat beam.

When you say 'manual' for the halogen lights, how is this achieved?

Cheers.

My post has gone, but basically you don't

You get \_____ \_____ and ____ ____ from RHD units

You get _____/ _____/ and ____ ____ from LHD units

Neither unit does both RHD and LHD kick.
