For the third time... chrome :)

Imo, for the black to work, it would at least have to match the bump strips. Unfortunately that first pic appears to have faded grey strips. I guess colour coding them yellow may work too, but I doubt it's an easy job getting the buggers off and back on again.

Yeah I'd say colour code the strips yellow and then have the grille black.

They are easy to get apart mate, Just needs unclipping from the grills and then the coloured surround comes off too

The black grille in that pic looks too new compared to the rest of the trim.

It looks like they replaced the grille and didnt get round to painting it.

Chrome would suit best unless you have other components black on the bodywork like the mirrors.
