Good afternoon.

For the last 15.000 - 20.000 klms i have a strange i must admit problem.

The engine doesn't run as it used to. Like something is restraning the engine from operating at full performance.

I noticed that the sound from the engine is some what more noisy than before between 3000-5500 rpm.

Unfortunately no error appears ever on the dashboard so that i could know that something goes wrong.

I have gone to 1-2 mechanics and the only thing that they said was that it is my imagination. I am sure that it isn't.

I have tried changing petrol station in case the gasoline is bad but no solution.

I have reached 95.000 klms.

As you probably know this engine does not have a timing belt but the other kind(i do not remember what it's called).

Does that need any kind o adjustment after a certain amount of klms???

Anyway does anyone have the slightest idea what is going on?

Excuse me for my English... I am from Greece.

Can you run the car on 97, 98 or 99 ron fuel, eg Super Unleaded? vs the normal 95 ron stuff. As these engines are designed to run on it.

I have used one or two times 95 ron unleaded.

Other than that i use super plus unleaded 100.

We don't have 98 super plus anymore here in Greece.

new air filter? VAG say these things should go on for way too long. Also what about new sparks plugs too.
