Couple of Questions.... (Door Lock Module, I.C.E)

Featured Replies

Hi there guys, It's been a while since I posted anything on here. My passenger side door lock module is FUBAR'd so I ordered one off ebay known to be tested without any faults. It's off a Golf and looks identical, my door lock module had dry solder joints as does the rear but it still works for now and I ****ed it up taking it apart. Far too many springs etc to put back and I'm no watch maker... Anyways should I have any problems with this? It's a 3 door too I just noticed but surely all the front locking modules are the same across the VAG range minus the A3. Second question. With christmas coming I want to treat myself from a decent stereo system... To a quite frankly brillant stereo system. Either a 12 or 15 inch subwoofer in the boot with a Mono amplifer and bass controller in the front. I've got my nice shiny double din Kenwood headunit. But back to the question. I'm not happy with the placement of the 5.25 speakers in the shelf, they rattle a bit and seem a bit weak. I bought two sets of Alpine components 6.5 one set is already in the front doors but the others I'd like to put in the back doors. Any one know of the procedure to do this, i.e speaker baskets, cutting door cards etc. Oh this isn't a chavvy typical sound system in case you wondered. The 2 sets of components are being run off a nice JBL 4 channel amplifer (70w x 4 RMS) and the majority of music played on it is from the 80's or legendary artists that we all know and love, not tiny 5ft 2 rappers. Any advice appriciated.

I thought the Octavia had speakers in the doors? Mine certainly did!

The rear doors?

None in the rear doors.

I was wondering about doing just this myself the other day.
