Polarising Filter

Featured Replies

Evening all.Ive only just started to get into photography and got myself a Fujifilm 9600 camera. This was recommended to me as it wasnt that expensive, so if photography wasnt my thing i hadnt lost too much money. As this isnt a full slr, the lense isnt interchangable. Are there any add on lenses or filters i can get?I have seen a polarising lense on ebay for about a fiver, will this be a waste of money? would i be better off getting one from my local camera shop for £25Thanks Mark

is it a filter or lens??

sounds like just a filter, just get a UV one and add effects in photoshop etc etc

Is there such a things as a polarizing lense? Polarizing filters on the other hand are great, lets you capture some really good shots.

Check to see if you have a filter thread on the front of the lens. If not, don't worry about getting a filter. If you have got a filter thread, then make sure you get a circular polariser rather than a linear polariser. Refers to the type of polarisation rather than the shape... Linear polarisers are fine for wet film, but for digital you need a circular polariser.
