So does the Octy

Check out the pricing................... its a tad expensive for an old A4. :smirk:

The new Octy?! What are you on about - it's a saloon/estate config for a start...

Just a way for Seat to boost sales (hopefully) and for VAG a group to get longer life out of chassis design. So it's a previous shape A4 with some very minor body changes, plus the new range of engines (TSi and CR TDi).

So Seat get a 'new' model, but without starting from scratch and blowing and R&D budget - everyone wins... apparently!

'New' Octy will appear sometime around 2012, along with the Mk7 Golf, Leon Mk3 etc.

Weirdly I like the old A4, but the Exeo just doesn't do it for me.

I looked at them and both me and the wife just shook our heads. Seat took the sleekness away.

It's a re-styled A4, which runs a completely different platform to the current Golf-based cars.

Something about it just doesn't work for me. I think its the side view but I can't put my finger on it. The thing is it's not even particularly cheap and having sat in one I think there has been a economy drive on the plastics!!

Remember old Fiats never die they just sell the press tools to India or Russia. Similar story here!

Nope - just studied it again and its the Seat stylee front and odd rear that really offend. The A4 was always a real looker but its been cocked up on the Exeo IMHO

See, I quite like it :)

Expensive though!

I've said it before, but I'll say it again - they've put blanking plates where the mirrors should be (where they were on the A4) and moved the mirrors onto silly little posts stuck onto the top of the door. Clown shoes.

I was talking to someone at Seat recently and it'll be implemented soon. I quite like the Exeo, as I liked the 2003 ish model A4..the current one is pants. They've launched a revamped Audi A8 too with similar styling and that's pretty dire as well IMO. I got thoroughly chastised on the Audi Forum for saying such a thing too...but I did add that the Octy was better which might have annoyed one or two. But hey, what do they know....? Nor our fault we know best is it ?
