Once upon a time (July, in fact) my vRS went into the garage to have a service and have a few other minor items dealt with. One of the items was that the front windscreen washers were lacking pressure, hitting the windscreen about two inches from the bottom. They had been doing this ever since I had my windscreen replaced. The dealers response was that I must have put in too strong a mix of screen wash and clogged the washer jets?!?! However, I didn't query it thinking that replacing the jets would be a cheap and simple job (and slightly annoyed that they couldn't be bothered to do it whilst it was in the garage).

Just over two weeks ago my vRS went back to the garage to have it's rear doors sealed since they had started leaking. Whilst it was there I ordered new washer jets (since apparently my local dealer doesn't carry any spares at all in stock, except standard servicing items). The weekend before last I had a go at my washer jets. Replaced the washer jets and still had exactly the same problem. I decided to work backwards and find out whether there was any pressure in the system at the joint just below the scuttle panel. However, being rather heavy-handed I managed to snap the connector - but I now knew there was plenty of pressure at that point!

The car went back into the garage at the end of last week to have the doors resealed, (both of them!!!) and to get the washers sorted out properly. This time I told the garage that the washer problem had started just after I had had the windscreen replaced. Amazingly they now managed to find all sorts of problems! The scuttle panel was missing three clips, one of the washer jets was missing and the other was snapped off inside it's housing. What I would really like to know is why they hadn't found this out when the car was in for it's service? Could it possibly be that they just couldn't be bothered and thought I could be fobbed off easily? I think I need to learn to be more confrontational - even this time when I was totally ****** I meekly paid out the £27 they asked for fixing the washers instead of asking why they hadn't sorted the problem out in the summer.

Yes, the dealer is named and shamed in the dealers review section, but I felt the need for a rant as well....

Excellent rant. :giggle:

Give em a ring and ask em if it's still getting to you. Say you've just realised that they should have picked this up last time and ask them why they didn't. People are far too meek and mild when it comes to this confrontational thing. If you are worried ask yourself what is the worst that could happen just before confronting someone who is supposed to be supplying you with a service that you are paying them for.

I'm not.

I was stood in our letting agents office, after waiting 3 weeks for a cooker, being quite vocal about it. Had a fair few couples come in, hear me then leave

did they sort you out with your cooker for kicking up a fuss then? I should have hoped so if people were walking out.

Yeah, this was a Saturday, new cooker fitted on Monday

Must be terrible to have a naff dealer. There are some good ones though. I have had great sales and service from West End Skoda.

Bought the VRS SE in Nov 2008, 3 weeks later the throttle pedal module starting playing up. Went into dealer to book it in, they did the job there and then, 20 minutes and warranty claim. 1st service took one hour, free tea and coffee while you wait. Much better than my previous VAG dealer who was intent on quoting VAG policy and nothing else, and sucking air through teeth if you wanted to book car in for work. So I said :p and voted with my feet.
