My first proper post on here, despite lurking for some time!

After going for a drive with a friend (a fellow Octy VRS owner!), I'm currently in the process of making the switch to a petrol VRS and looking at an 09 Octy VRS LE in Anthracite that has come up in my area. Just to work on the price a little and get that figured out - if anyone has any idea on what should be expected to pay on a mint VRS LE with 5k on it, let me know a ballpark so I can battle away (going to be trading in anyway, plus getting some cost on finance)...

In the meantime I'm posting on behalf of my friend who is looking at changing his exhaust over. He used to drive a Fez ST, which he swapped for a straight through pipe (de-cat) and to me, this was A) Silly and Unbearably loud inside the cabin at anything above 60mph on the motorways. Now that he agrees his 'silly' days are behind him, he's looking for anyone who may have put a Supersprint system on their Octy - particularly from the viewpoint of the sound compared with other systems available. He's looking at the system with the hi-flow sports cat but would also appreciate any advice on whether or not to get a connecting pipe for the centre section or have it resonated to reduce the volume. I think he's going down the route of the single oval rear box, rather than the twin pipes as per standard. I've put links below to illustrate what he's looking at and I know it's personal preference, but it'd be great to just hear some opinions on both Supersprint exhausts in general, as well as anything specific if anyone has any experience of them on Octy's.

He would be wise to get the system with the Resonated Centre section, the more resonators the quieter it will be generally. It will still sound sporty, but less droning until you are on full throttle, Im sure you could arrange to meet someone from here with an exhaust system to give you an idea..
